Through the time the people has feared dying, but it's not in
human nature to just surrender in front of any kind sickness. Through
history almost any culture has developed some sort of pharmacy. The goal
was always the same “make the people feel good and keep them alive”; first it
was a mixture of science and religion. The priests were also the medics and they
prepared the drugs or medicines.
However around the 17th century the practice of medicine
and pharmacy were separated, this evolved in a more regulated practice in the
industry, it was easier to control the drugs that were fabricated and they had
better quality.
In the modern times, with the advances in Chemistry, Pharmacy has
reached a point where the research can produce DNA vaccines, but the final goal
it’s the same as it was on ancient times, to keep people alive and make them
feel good.
